As global cinema industry figures are published annually, some of the figures might raise eyebrows, while others would simply astonish the readers. ifilm will, in this series of articles (in tips format), highlight some of those figures, based on globally published statistics for 2017.

- It’s just the frequent moviegoer type, comprising 12 percent of all the audience, that buys almost half of the tickets sold. Last year, there were 43 million people in this category, around the world.
- The moviegoer age group that made most of the audience was 25 to 39. This sums up to 11 million people worldwide. And among the frequent moviegoers, the 18 to 24 year olds were the most present one, compared to their population.
- No surprise that frequent moviegoers have more key technology products, such as video streaming devices and video game systems, in possession. That is in comparison with the general population of adults aged 18 and above.
- And last but not least in this installment of the article series, at least 3 in 4 of those people own more than one key technology products; the exact figure is at least 4. That’s in comparison with about two thirds of the adult population.
